The Head of Operation of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos Police Command, Akinwunmi Oke, (Kekere Police), has been promoted to a new rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP).
Oke is one of the key officers behind the numerous successful operations carried out by the RRS.
RRS, it would be recalled, is funded by the Lagos State Government as part of the efforts to ensure security as well as safety of lives and property in the state.
It is on record that RRS is one of the outstanding security outfits not only in Lagos and Nigeria but in Africa.
The Unit has secured both local and global accolades for various operational and tactical initiatives that have enhanced the security architecture of the state.
Oke is hardworking, loyal, dedicated and he is a thoroughbred professional who is passionate about policing.
Oke’s promotion and decoration did not come to many as a surprise as he is one officer that is ever-ready and always motivates his team members to deliver on the mandate to protect lives and property.
