As the blessed month of Ramadan begins, the globally renowned Islamic organisation, Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT), extends its warmest greetings to Muslims across the world. The society, known for its unwavering commitment to faith and humanity, celebrates the arrival of this sacred period as a time of spiritual rejuvenation, increased devotion, and charitable acts. NASFAT encourages all Muslims to seize this divine opportunity to strengthen their relationship with Allah and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
President of NASFAT, Alhaji Ayodeji AbdulWahid AbdulRauf, congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the sighting of the Ramadan crescent, reaffirming NASFAT’s dedication to fostering Islamic knowledge and uplifting humanity. He emphasized that NASFAT has curated a wealth of spiritual and educational programmes aimed at deepening faith, promoting moral excellence, and addressing societal challenges. He urged Muslims to embrace fasting with sincerity, patience, and gratitude while extending kindness to the less privileged. He further called for prayers for peace and unity in Nigeria and the world.
Chief Missioner of NASFAT, Imam Maroofdeen AbdulAzeez Onike, offered heartfelt prayers and admonished Muslims to use Ramadan as a transformative period for spiritual and personal growth. He emphasized that true fasting transcends abstinence from food and drink, urging Muslims to cultivate good character, sincerity, and self-discipline. He also encouraged believers to maximize the blessings of the month by engaging in more acts of worship and service to humanity.
NASFAT’s National Women Affairs Secretary, Alhaja Ganiyat Omowunmi Babalola, described Ramadan as a month of abundant rewards, particularly for Muslim women who nurture their families and communities. She called on women to take advantage of this season to increase their acts of worship, charity, and knowledge-seeking. She reiterated NASFAT’s commitment to empowering women through various developmental programmes that enhance their spiritual and socio-economic well-being.
As NASFAT marks over three decades of spiritual and social impact, the society remains dedicated to feeding the needy, supporting orphans and widows, and providing educational and empowerment initiatives for youth and women. NASFAT calls on all Muslims to embrace the values of love, peace, and generosity this Ramadan, reinforcing their commitment to faith and humanity.
